Welcome to the Parkland Middle School 21st Century/ Texas ACE Program Website
I would like to take this opportunity to formally introduce myself. My name is Ms. Vanessa Cabral. I am the Grant Fund Site Coordinator for the 21st Century Morning and After School Program at Parkland Middle School. I want to thank you for allowing us to have the opportunity to work with your child(ren) this school year. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you as well as your children.
The Ysleta Independent School District received a grant for the 21st Century/ Texas Afterschool Centers on Education Program specifically for the Northeast elementary schools along with the middle school. The goal of this grant is to help students understand concepts they are currently not mastering in the regular classroom setting. The focus is specifically on Math, Science, Reading, Social Studies, T-STEM, and College and Career. We have certified teachers who are currently teaching within their area of expertise and the lesson plans are aligned with the lesson plans our teachers are utilizing throughout the day. The difference is with the ACE Program the emphasis is innovative education, projects, visuals, and hands on activities.
Our program at Parkland Middle School is from 7:30-8:15 a.m. and 4:00-5:45 p.m. Monday-Friday and some Saturdays from 9:00-11:30 a.m.
I am looking forward to what I know will be a prosperous year at Parkland Middle School. I believe in its vision for our students and will do all that I can to help these children be happy, feel safe, and become successful. By working together I am sure that we can help your child succeed.
Should you have any questions, comments, or concerns I encourage you to contact me. I may be reached via email at [email protected] or by phone at (915) 434-6375. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration this school year.
